CMA CGM emphasized that the safety of crew and personnel remains its top priority, alongside efforts to maintain cargo flows through an integrated network combining sea, rail, and road transport.

Ports located south of Hormuz – including Khor Fakkan Port, Fujairah Port, and Port of Sohar – are being utilized as major transshipment hubs for Gulf-bound cargo. The company has established logistics corridors connecting these ports to key hubs in the United Arab Emirates, including Khalifa Port, Jebel Ali Port, and Sharjah Port. From these centers, cargo is distributed to neighboring countries via road and short-sea routes.

At the same time, Jeddah Islamic Port on the Red Sea is being positioned as a key alternative gateway. From Jeddah, the carrier is deploying inland corridors—either standalone or combined with maritime legs—to serve major markets in Saudi Arabia (including Dammam), as well as Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Iraq. These routes also enable cargo flows to the Mediterranean and Asia without passing through Hormuz.

Ports in Oman are also being used as supplementary hubs, supporting overland connections to the UAE and feeder services to northern Gulf markets.

By deploying a multimodal logistics strategy, CMA CGM aims to maintain stable cargo flows both within the region and across borders, helping safeguard international trade amid rising geopolitical risks.
