The restructured Thailand-Indonesia 1 (TID1) route aims to streamline Intra-Asia connectivity by establishing a direct two-way loop between Vietnam and Indonesia.

Ocean Network Express (ONE) has announced a strategic upgrade to its Thailand-Indonesia 1 (TID1) service. The primary modification involves removing Surabaya, Indonesia, from the rotation while integrating Singapore and Ho Chi Minh City as new ports of call.
Under the revised configuration, the service will follow a streamlined rotation: Laem Chabang – Jakarta – Singapore – Ho Chi Minh City – Laem Chabang. This adjustment represents a significant shift in the carrier’s Southeast Asian regional network structure.
The inclusion of Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore facilitates a vital two-way direct connection between Southern Vietnam and Jakarta. By bypassing intermediate transshipment points, the updated route significantly reduces transit times and enhances supply chain reliability for shippers in these markets.
Furthermore, by anchoring the service at these two regional hubs, ONE aims to bolster trade ties between key Asian markets, ensuring a steady flow of cargo and improving overall operational efficiency.
The TID1 service will maintain a weekly frequency with a 14-day turnaround. The upgraded service is scheduled to commence with the arrival of the vessel MV Highway (Voyage 368S) at Laem Chabang on April 2, 2026.
This restructuring of the TID1 route underscores a broader trend in the Intra-Asia market: the optimization of networks around major hubs and a reduction in transshipment dependency to drive regional supply chain efficiency.
